Statement of Faith
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only
Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal
life.
– John 3:16
There is only one true God, who exists
in Trinity form as God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and
God the Holy Spirit.
God is holy and is eternal in existence,
having no beginning or end. He created the universe and everything
in it.
God created man and woman (Man) to
have a beautiful and intimate relationship with Him, to multiply
the human race through procreation and to rule over the earth.
Man rejected God by choosing to disobey
and dishonor God. As a result, Man fell from his intimate relationship
with God and sin entered the world, creating a great chasm or divide
between Man and God because no one unholy can come into the presence
of God.
Since sin entered the world, Man
has been both depraved and sinful in nature and is born that way.
This nature extends beyond thoughts, words and deeds, going to the
very core of the make-up of Man’s essence and being.
Because of His great love for us,
God still desires to have an intimate relationship with each of
us. God knows we can never achieve being good enough through our
own abilities, characteristics, behaviors and deeds to restore our
relationship with Him. God knew our depraved and sinful nature made
it impossible.
God knew only He could make a way
to pay the price for our sin debt. He knew only God Himself could
bridge the great chasm that exists between God and us. Thus, at
a point and place in human time and history, Jesus Christ left His
home in heaven and came to live among us on Earth.
Jesus Christ came into this world
by being born as a baby through the womb of a virgin human mother.
Jesus was not fathered by a human. His mother became pregnant through
the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus lived in human form without
sin because He was totally and completely God. He was also totally
and completely man.
After Jesus grew up and became an
adult, He died on the cross and shed His blood to pay the price
for our sins against a Holy God. Through His death, the sin debt
was paid as the life of the perfectly just and sinless was offered
for the lives of the utterly unjust and sinful. After three days,
He arose from the grave and returned to heaven where He lives today.
Through
the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, we are offered
restored relationship with God and eternal life. This promise is
available only to those who receive the gift of what Jesus did for
them on the cross as payment for their sin debt and accept the risen,
living Christ as their Savior and Lord.
Those who receive God’s great
love gift are “saved” from eternal condemnation for
their unpaid sin debt. In addition, they are given the gift of the
Holy Spirit who is a downpayment assuring the fulfillment of God’s
promise. The Holy Spirit also guides, comforts and counsels God’s
children. They are never alone.
Those who accept the gift offered
by Jesus Christ are adopted into the family of God. They have an
inheritance kept for them in heaven where Jesus is preparing a place
for them to join Him.
To accept God’s great love
gift, you must confess that Jesus Christ died for your sins and
accept Him as your Savior and Lord. A suggested prayer for receiving
Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord is located on this web page
under the section entitled “Prayer of Salvation.”
Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His
name, He gave the right to become children of God – children
born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s
will, but born of God.
